Events

As part of its mission to educate stakeholders about opportunities for change in scholarly communication, SPARC hosts both regular and periodic meetings, webcasts and other community events. SPARC hosts a biennial meeting on Open Access, held in every other March. In addition the popular the SPARC-ACRL forum on emerging issues in scholarly communication is held at every annual and midwinter meeting of the American Library Association. SPARC hosts frequent webcasts on hot topics in the scholarly communication arena, and frequently collaborates with partner organizations on joint events.

SPARC staff and representatives present frequently on open access, public access, SPARC, and other topics central to the coalition's work. To invite SPARC to your event, please explore our Staff page or contact sparc [at] arl [dot] org.
